RJE Telecom, LLC, a dynamic, cutting edge telecommunications engineering firm, is seeking an experienced telecommunication Outside Plant (OSP) Engineer for the Syracuse, NY area. The OSP Engineer is responsible for designing copper/fiber work orders, interacting with customers/developers and municipalities and adhering to budget constraints. This position requires both field and home office work.
Overview:
This position requires both field and home office work. This is a work from home position with field visits in the Syracuse, NY area so candidate must reside in the Syracuse, NY area.
The OSP Engineer is responsible for designing copper/fiber work orders, interacting with customers/developers and municipalities. The OSP Engineer is responsible for drafting-specific tasks for multiple telecommunication projects from preliminary design drawings and/or field sketches to basic design computations; organizing the layout of plans, material codes, details and units. Qualified candidates will have the ability to secure Right of Way permits from local jurisdictions and authorities, determine existing utilities in work areas, and effectively translate sketches, verbal and written information, into CAD/MicroStation drawings.
